Segments

Segments are shown live during your ride and reviewed in your ride details afterwards. You can see your times and, depending on your setup, compare them with other riders.

How do segments work?

Groupetto detects segments along your route. During the ride, segments are displayed live. After you save your ride, you will find all segments for that ride in the ride details.

What happens when RideTogether is enabled?

When RideTogether is enabled, the segments of your ride are shared with riders nearby who also use RideTogether. This allows Groupetto to show time comparisons between riders.

After the ride, segment times are stored on the devices of all participating riders so you can still see those comparisons later.

What data is shared?

For segments, only the data required for comparisons is shared. You can disable RideTogether at any time in settings. If RideTogether is off, segment data is not shared with other riders.
