RideTogether

Whether spontaneous or planned in a group, with RideTogether you earn points for every ride and optionally share your live data for an even more immersive group riding experience.

How can I participate in RideTogether?

You can enable or disable RideTogether and the associated data transmission between riders at any time in the settings. If disabled, you will also no longer participate in the points allocation.

The additional sharing of live data can be toggled separately. Only if you share your own live data will you also see the live data of your fellow riders. This data is displayed to your fellow riders but is not permanently stored on their devices. Exceptions include certain performance data, such as the maximum speed, which is stored permanently on the devices to display performance comparisons.

How does the points allocation work?

You earn points for every ride, regardless of how fast or slow you ride. If you ride alone, you get one point. For each additional rider, you earn another point. At the end of the season, you can see how you compare to your fellow riders.

Points are only awarded after a minimum ride duration and distance, to ensure that only serious rides are taken into account.

How are point scores synchronized?

Your current point score is not stored centrally but is synchronized from device to device with your fellow riders. Riders from previous rides will only get an update of your point score when you ride with them again. This way, you have full control over your data.

What are the requirements for RideTogether?

You will automatically be connected with fellow riders who have also enabled RideTogether. No further setup is required. The minimum requirement is an iPhone 11 or newer.
